Tim McAvoy, B.A. R.I.B.Tim McAvoy is CEO of McAvoy, Belan & Campbell and the firm's Designated Individual under the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) licensing laws. Tim joined the company in 1982 as a dual licensed producer in Property/Casualty, Financial and Group Insurance. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for four years with a major Canadian Insurer in a commercial, marketing and claims capacity in the Toronto, Hamilton & Kitchener areas.

Tim's specialties include Public Sector, Commercial & Group insurance and he is the managing consultant for many corporate clients. He has extensive experience with several types of plans and funding arrangements and is comfortable dealing with both union and non-union clients. Tim also has a comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance particularly International Manufacturers, Contractors, Bonding and Fleet Risks.

Currently President of the Pelham Business Association, Tim is also Past President of the Niagara South Insurance Brokers Association and sits on the Advisory Council for a major Canadian Insurer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and has taught insurance classes at a local college.

Ken McAvoy, R.I.B.Ken McAvoy is President of McAvoy, Belan & Campbell. Ken joined the company in 1978 and is a licensed producer for Property and Casualty Insurance.

Prior to joining the firm, Ken worked for three years as an underwriter for a major Canadian Insurer. In addition he spent two years in London, England working for a major International Brokerage House out of Lloyd's of London. While in London Ken gained a comprehensive knowledge of all forms of Marine Insurance.

Since 1978, Ken has specialized in the personal and commercial insurance lines with McAvoy, Belan & Campbell. His experience has included everything from Retail and Construction to Ship Repairers and Ocean Tows.

Millie Belan, R.I.B.Millie Belan is a Vice President and Partner of McAvoy, Belan & Campbell. She joined Port Colborne Insurance Brokers in 1971 and has held her Brokers license ever since. She took over ownership in 1987. Millie's strong personal lines background has benefited our clients for many years and she continues to run the personal lines division of MBC.

Millie is a life long resident of Port Colborne. She is a graduate of Port Colborne High School and Niagara College in Welland. She has been involved in many community organizations including school, church and minor sports.

Nick Belan, R.I.B.Nick Belan is Treasurer and partner of McAvoy, Belan & Campbell. He joined Port Colborne Insurance Brokers in 1987 after working for a major Canadian steel manufacturer for 15 years. Nick brings a strong financial background to the firm.

Nick was born and raised in Croatia and immigrated to Canada as a teenager. He has held several positions in community organizations including President & Secretary of the Croatian National Home.

Chuck Campbell, CFPChuck Campbell is Vice-President of Financial Services for McAvoy, Belan & Campbell. Chuck joined the firm in 1992 as a specialist in Financial, Group, Life and Disability Insurance. He is a two-time recipient of the Underwriters Association of Canada's "National Quality Award" and a member of the world recognized "Million Dollar Round Table" for seven consecutive years.

Chuck spent seven years with a large Financial Group in a marketing, sales and management as well as a further three years as the Divisional Manager for a Major Canadian Insurer in the Niagara Region. He was extensively involved with financial product design with both companies and as a result has published several articles.

Chuck's has attained the nationally recognized designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He has been a guest speaker for the Life Underwriters Association of Canada on several occasions as well as keynote speaker at Empire Financial's international conventions.

Ken BurkeKen Burke joined McAvoy, Belan & Campbell in 1993 as a producer after working for two years with a prominent Canadian bank and seven years with a major Canadian Life Insurance Company.

Ken is a specialist in the areas of Life, Disability, Group and Financial Insurance and has extensive experience dealing with both corporations and individuals.

Ken is a recipient of the Life Underwriters Association's "National Quality Award" and a past member of London Life's Merit Corps.

Ken was raised and educated in Port Colborne and is a graduate of the Life Underwriter Training Course. He is also highly active in local community service.

Larry Layne, CFPLarry Layne joined McAvoy, Belan & Campbell in 1991 as a producer after holding a management position for twenty years with a large Canadian Retailing Corporation and three years with a major Canadian Life Insurance Company.

Larry is a specialist in the areas of Life, Disability, Group and Financial Insurance. He has extensive experience in dealing with individuals, families and corporations.

Larry was raised and educated in Welland. He has attained the nationally recognized designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is a recipient of the Life Underwriters Association's "National Quality Award" and is a graduate of the two-year Life Underwriters Training Course.

Tanya Clarke-CampbellTanya Clarke-Campbell joined McAvoy, Belan & Campbell in 2005 as a producer after holding security positions with two different Ontario Public Entities. Tanya is a specialist in the areas of Life, Disability, and Financial Insurance as well as managing assistant for major group benefits clients. She has extensive experience in dealing with individuals, families and corporations.

Tanya was raised and educated in Wainfleet and Port Colborne and is a graduate of Niagara College. She is a member of the Financial Advisors Association of Canada and is currently completing her designation as a Registered Health Underwriter to assist her client with living benefits, income replacement and risk management.
